Colorado's Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention
The Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention (Consortium) was created in the fall of 2013 to establish a coordinated, statewide response to the public health problem of prescription drug abuse and misuse. The mission of the Consortium is to reduce the abuse and misuse of prescription drugs in the State of Colorado through improvements in education, public outreach, research, safe disposal, and treatment.
House Bill 14-1283 (Concerning Modifications to the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program) and Implementation
On January 12, 2015, a memorandum was released to inform stakeholders of the implementation status of HB 14-1283 regarding modifications to the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). The memorandum includes each individual modification to the PDMP made from HB 14-1283 followed by corresponding summaries regarding the status of implementation; and related activity regarding the PDMP not necessarily reflected in HB 14-1283, followed by corresponding summaries regarding the status; as well as statistical data related to the utilization of the PDMP in 2014.
