Individual Applications and Forms

The Office of Funeral and Mortuary Science Services does not currently license individual mortuary science occupations, however Senate Bill 24-173, which was signed into law on May 24, 2024, mandates regulation of Mortuary Science Practitioners, Funeral Directors, Embalmers, Cremationists, and Natural Reductionists by January 1, 2027. Registration Expiration Bump Period for New Applicants: All new applicants who are issued a registration within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a registration with the next expiration date.

RegistrationRenewal Information: All Colorado Funeral Home and Crematory registrations expire on November 30 of every year. View your expiration date on your online account. Please note that renewals open approximately six weeks prior to the expiration date.
