Education Equivalency Review: DORA/DPO is no longer accepting/processing Education Equivalency Review packets for any of the Mental Health Professions. Colorado DORA/DPO has contracted with the Center for Credentialing &, Education (CCE) to do all education equivalency review/evaluations for LPC, MFT, PSY and Addiction Counselors. Visit the CCE website at www.cce-global.org.

Communication from the Division: The Division of Professions and Occupations primary communication is via email. Please be sure to include your current email address on your application to receive important information about your application status and process.

License Expiration Bump Period for New Applicants: All new applicants who are issued a license within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a license with the next expiration date.

License Renewal Information: All licenses, certificates and registrations must be renewed to continue practicing. View your expiration date by logging onto your DPO Online Services Account. Please note that renewals open approximately 4-5 weeks prior to the expiration date.

  • All Marriage and Family Therapist and Provisional licenses expire on August 31 of odd-numbered years.
  • All Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate licenses expire on December 31, every 3 years.
