Revised Rules Effective March 2, 2021

Revised rules for the Colorado Board of Accountancy went into effect on March 2, 2021. The revisions to Rule 1.2, reduced administrative burden and conformed to the language used in the majority of other states; revisions to Rule 1.5, provided a general cleanup of the rule; and revisions to Rule 1.11, implemented Colorado Senate Bill 20-007 (concerning treatment for substance use disorders).

Permanent Rulemaking Hearing on January 20, 2021

The Colorado Board of Accountancy will hold a virtual Permanent Rulemaking Hearing to consider adopting revisions to Rule 1.2 - Education Requirements for Examination and Certification, to reduce administrative burden and to conform with the language used in the majority of other states; Rule 1.5 - Requirements for Certification, to correct an incorrect rule reference; and Rule 1.11 - Practice Privilege/Mobility, to implement Colorado Senate Bill 20-007 (Concerning treatment for substance use disorders).
