- Consumer Protection Act General &, Specific Provisions
The Office of the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section protects Colorado consumers from deceptive trade practices through the Colorado Consumer Protection Act (CCPA).
A violation of the CCPA is considered a ground for discipline under the Audiologists Practice Act, specifically section 12-29.9-108(2)(h), C.R.S., and may result in disciplinary action against a licensed audiologist.
The Office of Audiology Licensure encourages all licensed audiologists involved in the dispensing of hearing aids as well as consumers interested in purchasing or who have purchased a hearing aid to review and understand Parts 1 and 7 of the CCPA.
