Colorado Massage Therapy Law Enforcement Assistance
Obtaining a Certificate of Absence of Record
If you are a city, county or other law enforcement agency and wish to obtain proof that an individual is not licensed as a massage therapist in the state of Colorado, please send an email to dora_massagetherapists@state.co.us.
Include the following information in your request:
- First and last name of requesting person
- Name of the requesting Department
- Mailing address where the Certificate of Absence of Record is to be mailed
In regards to the individual for whom you are requesting a record check, please provide the following:
- First, middle (if available) and last name of the individual
- Date of birth
- Case number
- Date of trial
Massage Therapy List of Injunctions
The Office of Massage Therapy Licensure, through the attorney general, has taken injunctive action against licensed and unlicensed individuals practicing massage therapy.
Law enforcement and other governmental agencies can request the documentation referenced in the injunction cases by sending an email to dora_massagetherapists@state.co.us with the subject line "Document Request."
Program staff will follow up with document requests to facilitate inter-agency cooperation.
